Today, the Treasury Committee has published a report on The Office for Value for Money.
Nick Posford, Executive Director of the UK Evaluation Society, commented:
“We welcome the recommendation from the Committee to evaluate the Office for Value for Money project. High-quality, independent evaluation is essential for ensuring transparency and impact across all government departments, social change projects, and broader interventions.
Embedding evaluation from the start and throughout initiatives is critical. There is always more that can be done to enhance the theory, practice and understanding of evaluation, as well as its utilisation in decision-making.
