Networking
There are various Evaluation Networks across the UK. These provide opportunities to meet other evaluators in your area and to share evaluation news and knowledge, or to network with evaluators at a similar stage in their career. Many UK Evaluation Society members join these networks.
Are you new to the field of evaluation? Or perhaps in your first few years working as an evaluator, or where evaluation is part of your role? Or maybe you have recently changed to specialise in evaluation mid-career?
Whether you are a student or an early career evaluator, we have a network focussed on helping you and providing peer support. Alongside opportunities for mutual support and networking, the Early Career Network aims to support and encourage the future of evaluation by supporting the career pathways for early stage evaluators, and support professional development in the widest sense.
It also includes a group for students to connect with others studying Evaluation or related subjects and who are interested in pursuing a career in evaluation or a related field.

We aim to bring together people involved or interested in evaluation, with a particular value on collaboration, reflexivity, diversity, participation and appropriate (mixed) methods.
Our mission is to:
• Create a sense of evaluation community in the North of England.
• Advocate for good evaluation practice.
• Improve evaluation practice through sharing experiences and knowledge (Communities of Practice).

We provide opportunities for discussion, learning and networking with colleagues working in evaluation across Scotland and North East England.
We host a variety of events throughout the year, usually online and/or in Edinburgh and Glasgow. All are welcome. Events are usually free to attend.
You can find out more about our events through our ENS LinkedIn group and via our mailing list. We also share details about local tenders and training and use LinkedIn to connect with each other, to promote debate about evaluation and to share useful resources.
We are co-ordinated by a small group of volunteers. We are always looking for interesting topics or contributors, and happy to hear from evaluators based (or with an interest) in Scotland.
