"Since joining the UK Evaluation Society last year, I have come along to most, if not all, of the EvalNatters in 2024. I find them invaluable for sharing knowledge and the common frustrations of evaluation. As an independent "lone wolf" evaluation consultant, these sessions spur me on to keep going in this incredibly diverse, complexed and rewarding field of work."

Membership options

We’ve recently introduced a new membership structure designed to suit a range of needs—from charities to early career evaluators. Please check the terms and conditions before choosing your membership to make sure it’s the right fit for you, and if you’re unsure, just drop us an email and we’ll be happy to help.

Frequently asked questions

Can I join as an individual member but my employer will pay by invoice?

Yes! You can join as a sponsored individual member, where your employer covers the cost of your membership as part of their commitment to supporting your professional development.

How it works
To join us as a sponsored individual member, complete the form and we'll do the rest! We’ll send an invoice directly to your organisation, which can be paid by BACS or credit/debit card. You will need a purchase order (PO) number when you complete the form to request an invoice.

We’ve created a handy downloadable template you can use to request your employer's support. Investing in your membership helps you stay connected to the latest thinking in evaluation while expanding your skills and professional network.

What is group or organisational membership and how does it work?

Group or organisational membership is ideal for organisations, institutions, and departments where all members belong to the same organisation and share a common email domain.

Each participating individual must be named on the membership to receive full member benefits. The membership is owned by the organisation, with a designated Group Owner who has the authority to manage the plan, including making updates or changes to the member list. This option ensures your whole team can stay connected, informed, and supported in their professional development.

Management of Group Membership

  • The Group Owner can request to add/remove/swap the named people on their list.  Once changed, any reinstated person is paid at the current full member rate.

  • Additional named members can be added and paid for at any time within the organisation’s group membership period. These additional members will be renewed at the same time as the organisation’s main group renewal and their membership fee may be pro-rated based on how much of the membership term remains.

Contact us for more information about group/organisational membership.

How do I apply for Group Membership and what are the payment options?

Group Membership applications must be processed directly by our staff team. To apply, simply submit your completed application form and make payment by credit card or request an invoice - you will need to have a purchase order (PO) number before you can request an invoice. Please note that all membership fees are non-refundable.

What savings do members benefit from?

As a member of the UK Evaluation Society, you’ll benefit from exclusive discounts designed to support your professional development and keep you connected to the latest thinking in evaluation. Members enjoy:

  • Reduced rates on training: Gain new skills and knowledge with discounted access to our professional training courses.
  • Discounted conference tickets: Attend our annual conference at a special member rate, connecting with leading voices in evaluation.
  • Savings on Evaluation Journal: Stay informed with a member-only discount on the internationally respected Evaluation journal.

We’re always exploring ways to bring more value to our members, so keep an eye out for new discounts and offers as the membership benefits continue to grow.

How does member priority booking work?

UK Evaluation Society members enjoy a 2-week priority booking window for training courses, giving you the first opportunity to secure your place before registration opens to non-members. Many of our most popular courses sell out quickly, so this exclusive benefit helps you access in-demand learning opportunities and stay ahead in your professional development.

Who is eligible for student membership and how does it work?

If you're a full-time student with at least six months left on your course (proof required), you can enjoy all the benefits of our student membership. It’s yours personally, so it stays with you even if you change your email, university, or role. If you finish your studies before your membership ends, no worries — you’ll still have access to all your benefits until your membership year is up. After that, you can continue your journey with us by switching to an individual or group membership.

Can becoming a member help me grow my professional network?

Joining the UK Evaluation Society opens the door to a vibrant, diverse community of evaluators and evidence professionals from across the UK and beyond. It’s your gateway to connecting with like-minded peers, sharing insights, and building relationships that matter. With exclusive member-only events and year-round networking opportunities, you’ll gain access to a supportive network ready to share expertise, collaborate, and help you grow in your evaluation practice.
