Trauma-informed training - Have your say
Following the success of our recent webinar on trauma-informed evaluation—and a strong call for a more in-depth training—we’re developing a brand new course to explore this important area in greater depth.
This two-day training course will provide participants with an understanding of trauma and trauma-informed practice and its application to evaluation.
Day one of the training will provide training participants with the knowledge and tools about trauma and trauma-informed practice to support training participants’ application in their professional evaluative practice. This first day of the training will take place in person due to ensuring discussion of trauma are delivered in a trauma-informed manner. The in-person nature of the delivery of the training also facilitates meaningful discussions to take place that all can contribute to, and benefit from.
Day two of the training will facilitate participants to apply trauma-informed principles and considerations to evaluation practice to enable participants to have the tools and confidence to be trauma-informed and prevent, and respond to, vicarious trauma in researchers. This second day of the training will take place online.
Because of the nature of training addressing trauma, and the associated need for space for discussion and reflection, and provision of the opportunity for all to meaningfully contribute to the training, there will be a maximum of fifteen training participants on each course.
The timings of both days will be 9.30 am – 4.30 pm.
