New limited podcast series: Evaluate This

New limited podcast series: Evaluate This explores what it takes to turn evaluation into action

The UK Evaluation Society has launched Evaluate This, a new limited podcast series bringing together leading voices from across the field to explore what it really takes to move from insight to impact.

Across the series, each episode dives into the practical, ethical and sometimes uncomfortable questions that sit at the heart of evaluation today. From the role of data in shaping identity, to how evidence is used (or ignored) in decision-making, Evaluate This creates space for honest, thought-provoking conversations grounded in real-world practice.

Hosted by experienced evaluators and featuring expert guests from across sectors, the series is designed for anyone working in or alongside evaluation who wants to deepen their thinking, challenge assumptions, and strengthen their practice.

The first episode features Dr Kevin Guyan, exploring the intersection of data and identity and asking a critical question: when does “inclusive data” start to do harm?

Future episodes build on these themes, reflecting the complexities of evaluation in a changing world and connecting to wider conversations across the profession, including those continuing at the UK Evaluation Society’s annual conference in May.
