Our membership of over 60 people includes representatives from health and social care, the NHS, the universities, the voluntary and community sector and local consultancies. We meet to discuss evaluation methodologies, challenges and successes, and share knowledge and information through our online community as well. Recent topics of discussion have included Patient and Public Involvement in evaluation, ethics, ‘Realising the Value’, local training opportunities and events.
Our stated objectives are:
- To access and share information, learning and opportunities, and to improve practice through peer support and reassurance.
- To champion the use of evaluation and evidence to inform decision making.
- To involve service-users, patients, and other members of the public in meeting our objectives.
- To add to the knowledge and understanding of evaluation in the region.
- To contribute to knowledge and innovation in evaluation theory, methods and practice.
- To increase personal capability and evaluation capacity in the areas we cover.
- To share knowledge of evaluation tenders, learning and development opportunities, and job opportunities.
- To bring together people interested in evaluation that seeks to have a positive impact on society.
